Joint Personnel Clean Up Pasar Rebo Flyover Underpass

Around 150 joint personnel from the urban village, sub-district, and city levels conducted a mass cleanup at the Pasar Rebo Flyover underpass in Susukan, Ciracas, Sunday (5/17). The activity was led by East Jakarta City Secretary, Eka Darmawan.

Those consisted of personnel from PPSU, Satpol PP, Bina Marga, SDA, Parks and City Forestry, Fire and Rescue, and Transportation Sub-agencies.

In this operation, two fire trucks were deployed to spray down the underpass ceilings and the sidewalks along the median strip. PPSU personnel, along with Satpol PP and Bina Marga task force, scrubbed the sidewalks using detergent.

Meanwhile, the Parks and City Forestry task force trimmed ornamental plants in the green zones, while the SDA task force cleared the drainage systems around the location.

According to Eka, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is slated to inspect the area and inaugurate the new Boxing Gym located under the Pasar Rebo Flyover tomorrow afternoon, Monday (5/18).

"Boxing gym and skate park under the Pasar Rebo Flyover will serve as a daily sports facility for the residents," he expressed.

Since the sports facility was built through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, he urged the public to help maintain and look after it.

He also instructed PPSU personnel and task forces from the Parks, Bina Marga, and other related sectors to conduct routine maintenance, particularly on both the interior and exterior of the flyover area.

"We want the community to feel safe and comfortable while engaging in activities at this location," he concluded.
